Caring and Confidential: At Cedar Hills all personal information and inquiries are kept confidential. Some information you will want to bring when you come:

Information about you or your loved one: Name, Date of birth, address, social security number and phone number

Reason you are reaching out to our facility: Information about the current situation, family life, support systems, and employment.

History of treatment: Inpatient treatment, mental health or substance use crisis and significant medical history or factors (including recent hospitalizations and current medications)

History of trauma

The Admissions process: You can expect the admissions process to be smooth and informative. Depending on your needs and current situation, the admissions process may take anywhere from 1 hour to multiple hours. You will be assigned a member of our admissions team who will become your “person” throughout the admissions process. This team member will oversee your treatment during the admissions process, whether you are admitted to our facility or linked to your community’s many resources for continued monitoring and care. Your “person” will navigate you through the process every step of the way and will be able to answer your questions and help ease any worries you have about seeking treatment. If your “person” is unable to answer all your questions, they will get you to the person within our facility who can.

Inpatient stay: It is our goal to individualize your care from the moment you reach out to our facility. Typically, people needing inpatient treatment stay on average, around 7-8 days. However, your situation is unique to you, and we will ensure your needs are met whether that stay is shorter or longer based on the information you provide to the team assigned to assist you with your care.

Your team will work with you to identify your unique needs and to develop a plan to address those needs both during admission and after discharge. Your family or other support systems will be included in the treatment process, at your request. All services will be provided in a comfortable environment that promotes healing and access to all needed resources once you leave our care.

Phone calls and visitation: Please know, that it is never our goal to keep family or friends away from their loved ones or out of the treatment process. In fact, we encourage an inclusive process for all people seeking care. However, all contact and information, including access to your loved one via phone or visitation is strictly up to them. Each individual seeking care is entitled to privacy and space to work on their wellness. Should they give us consent, family and friends may call or come to visit during one of our facility’s scheduled visitation times. Scheduled visitation times are specific to the area of the facility where your loved one is receiving care and information regarding scheduling may be found by calling our facility.

Items that are prohibited during visitation: Please be aware, in order to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for all that seek care at our facility, NO outside food or other items such as purses, backpacks, bags, cigarettes or vape pens are allowed in the facility during visitation. Should you arrive with any of the listed items, you will not be able to visit your loved one. We encourage all family and friends to visit and/or participate in the treatment process as much as possible, so adherence to this request is recommended.

Planning for discharge: Planning for your care once you leave our facility, starts at the time you enter our facility. You and your team will discuss and create a plan for how you will follow up with the resources in your community that are best suited to assist you in maintaining your stability and overall mental wellness. It is important that you provide your team with information about your past challenges with aftercare or accessing resources and/or any barriers you may have in your current situation that might prevent you from accessing community resources now. You will strategize with your team to find solutions to those barriers and develop a solid plan for follow-up that will allow you to continue to work toward wellness.
